US President Donald Trump termed Russia's strike on Ukraine with 805 drones and 13 missiles as "a horrible waste of humanity". Trump stated, "I’m not happy about the whole situation…but I believe we’re going to get it settled." The strike, which was reportedly Russia's largest drone attack in Ukraine since February 2022, damaged a government building in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
