We ignored Hindi film audience, dubbed South films thrived: Anurag
Director Anurag Kashyap, in an interview, claimed that filmmakers had ignored Hindi films' audience while South Indian films dubbed in Hindi gained popularity among people and thrived. "I [once] found out...that my North Indian films weren't released across North India because...studio decided that my core audience is in Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Hyderabad...That's how dumb they are," he said.
