On being asked if Ajinkya Rahane will lead KKR in IPL 2025, CEO Venky Mysore said they will sit down and have a "proper chat" about it. "I'm sure a proper decision will be made," he stated. KKR bought Rahane at his base price of ₹1.5 crore. Shreyas Iyer, who led KKR in IPL 2024, was sold to PBKS.
