Whale vomit worth ₹5 crore seized from Goa Fort in Maharashtra
Customs officials in Maharashtra’s Dapoli seized over 4 kg of ambergris (whale vomit), valued at more than ₹5 crore, from Goa Fort near Harnai beach in Ratnagiri district. The seized substance, banned under the Wild Life (Protection) Act of 1972, was later handed over to the wildlife department. Notably, ambergris is a sought-after ingredient for perfumes.
