US has approved a possible sale of Javelin Missile System and related equipment to India. Javelin FGM-148 is an American man-portable fire-and-forget anti-tank missile. It uses automatic infrared guidance that allows user to seek cover immediately after launch. The system takes top-attack flight profile against armoured vehicles, but can also take direct-attack mode for use against buildings.
