What is 'Rebecca Syndrome', which people in relationships may have?
Rebecca Syndrome, also known as retroactive jealousy, is a condition in which a person fixates on their partner's past relationships. Dr Darian Leader coined the term inspired by Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel 'Rebecca'. Psychologist Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley said obsessive preoccupation with partners' ex, being prone to insecurity and comparisons with past relationships are syndrome's signs.
