What is Al-Qard Al-Hassan, Hezbollah's cash source that Israel targeted?
Israeli airstrikes targeted branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan (AQAH), a Hezbollah-linked financial institution founded in 1983. AQAH describes itself as a charitable organisation which follows Islamic principles to provide interest-free loans. Operating under a license granted by Lebanese government, AQAH has over 30 branches across Lebanon, most of which are located in Hezbollah-controlled areas.
