What is Corrective Emotional Experience in therapy?
Dr Sarthak Dave says Corrective Emotional Experience (CEE) occurs when the client-therapist relationship offers a healthier, more stable dynamic than the one a client learnt in early life. By being consistent, non-judgemental, flexible, and boundaried, the therapist becomes a corrective "new parent figure". It reshapes unhealthy patterns and helps them experience relationships as safe and steady.
