What is CRIB, never-seen-before blood group found in Indian woman?
A woman from Karnataka has been found to have a never-before-seen blood group, officially named CRIB. It's a newly identified blood type outside existing major systems like ABO and Rh. CRIB is characterised by absence of a high-prevalence antigen found in most people. It lacks this common antigen, making everything related to blood, like surgeries and transfusions, extremely complex.
