What is Dermatillomania?
Dermatillomania, also known as excoriation disorder or skin-picking disorder, is a mental health condition where a person compulsively picks or scratches their skin, causing injuries or scarring. It is a body-focused repetitive behaviour (BFRB) that typically begins during adolescence but may also occur among children or adults. It falls under category of obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCDs).
