What is Gwada Negative, a blood group found in one person?
Gwada Negative is an EMM-negative blood type, identified by the absence of EMM antigen, a high-incidence antigen found on the red blood cells (RBCs) of nearly all humans. The group is named after the local nickname for the islands of Guadeloupe, where a woman with this rare blood group hails from. It has become the 48th recognised blood group system.
