Ashes urn is 10.5 centimetres tall and weighs 124.8 grams. When ex-England captain Ivo Bligh passed away in 1927, the original urn was donated to Marylebone Cricket Club. Many believe it contains ashes of bail used in third match of 1882-83 Ashes series, which Australia lost. In 1998, Bligh's 82-year-old daughter-in-law claimed the urn contained remains of her mother-in-law's veil.
