Planetary Health Diet can cut risks of cancer, heart diseases: Report
The 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission has said adopting a primarily plant-based diet, known as the Planetary Health Diet, may cut risks of heart and diet-related diseases and even cancer. The diet focuses on including more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts and only small amounts of meat, fish and dairy. It may prevent 40,000 premature deaths a day worldwide.
