What is the difference between an anxiety and a panic attack?
Psychologist Dr Vishwa Dave explains panic attacks hit suddenly—racing heart, breathlessness, intense fear—often without warning, but fade quickly. Anxiety attacks build slowly, triggered by stress, with restlessness, tension, and worry lasting hours or days. Panic shouts “Danger now!” while anxiety whispers “Something might go wrong.” Both are exhausting, but treatable with empathy and therapy.
