What is the difference between Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism?
Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which a person's body makes too much thyroid hormone, according to Harvard Health. Its symptoms include dramatic emotional swings, sweating, increased heart rate and unexplained weight loss. Hypothyroidism means the thyroid gland cannot produce the normal amount of thyroid hormone. It can cause symptoms like weight gain, lack of energy, depression, and hair loss.
