What is the RTO e-challan APK scam that can hijack mobile phones?
Police have issued an alert regarding fake e-challan messages. Under this, fraudsters send a WhatsApp message, including APK files, claiming that a person has violated traffic rules and a challan has been issued. The sender's display picture is likely to be logo of RTO or NextGen mParivahan app. People often click on these links, resulting in their phones getting hacked.
