When Paris removed dogs, rats overran the city: Maneka on SC order
Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi said when Paris removed dogs from streets in 1880s, the city was overrun with rats. She called dogs "rodent control animals". Her remarks come after Supreme Court directed authorities to pick up stray dogs in Delhi-NCR and have them shifted to shelters. She earlier called the top court's order "impractical" and "financially unviable".
