Which criminal offences will attract lesser punishments under Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0?
Procedural non-compliance by NBFCs, which earlier attracted imprisonment/fine under RBI Act 1934, will now attract just monetary penalties under Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0, NDTV Profit reported. Other offences the bill covers include licensing and reporting failure under Central Silk Board Act 1948 and compliance failures under Coir Industry Act 1953. Traffic violations will first attract warning.
