According to NCRB 2023 report, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu reported lowest crime rate in the country with 66.9 crimes per one lakh of population. This is followed by Nagaland (84.9), Sikkim (103.9), Meghalaya (105.2), Tripura (120.4), Jharkhand (161.1), Ladakh (173.4), Assam (181.3), West Bengal (181.6), Lakshadweep (184.1) and Arunachal Pradesh (187.9).
