Diabetes is diagnosed through blood tests such as the Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) test, the A1C test, and the Random Plasma Glucose test. The A1C test reflects average blood sugar levels over 2–3 months, while the FPG test measures blood sugar after fasting. A random glucose test can be done anytime to assess current sugar levels.
