Who was British Indian spy Noor whom France honoured with a stamp?
Noor Inayat Khan, a descendant of Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan, has been honoured by France with a commemorative postage stamp. Born in Moscow to an Indian Sufi father and an American mother, she later lived in London and Paris. Recruited into Special Operations Executive in 1943, she was captured by Nazi forces and executed at Dachau in 1944, aged 30.
