PM Narendra Modi attended the MS Swaminathan Centenary International Conference on August 7. Swaminathan, an agricultural scientist, is known as the father of the Green Revolution, a transformational period for India's agriculture sector. "His identity went beyond the Green Revolution," PM Modi said. He passed away in 2023 and was conferred the Bharat Ratna in 2024.
