Why are VBIEDs/car bombs considered among the most dangerous?
Vehicular-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIEDs), or car bombs, are considered one of the most dangerous terror tactics because the vehicle itself is the bomb. After the explosion, the shattered metal fragments become lethal bullet-like projectiles that can kill, injure, or maim. They are also difficult to stop in high-traffic-density areas.
