Why have heirs of Maratha warriors threatened 'Chhaava' makers with ₹100-cr case?
The descendants of Maratha warriors Ganoji and Kanhoji Shirke have accused the makers of 'Chhaava' of unjust and false portrayal of their ancestors, threatening to sue them for defamation for ₹100 crore. They've objected to claims of Shirkes' alleged betrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which led to his capture by Aurangzeb. Director Laxman Utekar has apologised to the Shirke family.
