Wildfires erupt in Turkey's Izmir, over 50,000 people evacuated
Over 50,000 people have been evacuated as massive wildfires raged across Turkey's Izmir province for second consecutive day. Fuelled by strong winds reaching up to 50 km/h, the fires have affected 41 settlements, including Kuyucak and Doğanbey. Over 1,000 firefighters, aircraft, and helicopters are involved in rescue operations. Smoke briefly disrupted operations at Izmir's Adnan Menderes Airport.
