Will lead to price rise: Chandigarh on ban on hoarding food items
Chandigarh District Magistrate Nishant Yadav has banned the hoarding and unauthorised stockpiling of essential food items and fuel amid escalating India-Pak tensions. "Such actions are resulting in artificial scarcity, abnormal price rise, and potential law and order issues," the directive said. Traders were directed to declare current stock to Department of Food and Supplies within three days.
