Woman loses $6,500 to scammer posing as astronaut stuck in space
An 80-year-old Japanese woman lost ¥1 million (over $6,500) to a scammer posing as an astronaut. The scammer convinced her he was stranded in space and desperately needed money to buy oxygen. The elderly Japanese woman connected with the scammer on social media earlier this year, with the latter claiming to be an astronaut working in space.
