A 65-year-old woman named Denise Bacon in UK's London played the clarinet while undergoing a four-hour brain operation, carried out to ease movement-related symptoms caused by Parkinson's disease. Doctors implanted electrodes in Denise's brain to deliver electrical impulses and modify brain activity. Movement in her fingers improved immediately, helping her play the clarinet with greater ease.
