Woman takes Pakistan govt to court over 'period tax', says 'It feels like women vs Pak'
A 25-year-old lawyer has taken the Pakistan government to court demanding an end to the "period tax" on sanitary pads. In her plea, Mahnoor Omer said that taxing menstrual hygiene products violates women's constitutional right to equality and dignity, adding, "It feels like women versus Pakistan."
