Women likely to be more manipulative in less gender-equal societies, study finds
Women are less likely to exhibit Machiavellianism, i.e behaviours related to manipulation, deceit and self-interest, in more gender-equal or egalitarian societies, according to a study published in the International Journal of Personality Psychology. However, it found men's Machiavellian tendencies to be stable regardless of the type of society. The study analysed 56,936 adults across 48 nations.
