Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has become the longest-serving CM of the state, on completing eight years and 132 days in office, surpassing the tenure of former UP CM Govind Ballabh Pant. He first became CM in 2017 and was reelected in March 2022 becoming the first UP CM to be re-elected after completing a full five-year term.
