Zohran told mom Mira Nair to choose The Namesake over Harry Potter
Zohran Mamdani's mother, filmmaker Mira Nair, revealed that she chose to direct 'The Namesake' instead of 'Harry Potter' on his advice. "I asked my 14 year old son what should I do...and he told me, 'mama many good directors can make Harry Potter but only you can make The Namesake'," Mira said. "It was such a liberating statement," she added.
