Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said on Tuesday that India has deployed 40 warships in the Red Sea to ensure the safe passage of cargo from Houthis and other threats. The Navy Chief noted that Indian ships have apprehended 52 pirates during recent operations and have safely escorted around 7,800 merchant vessels in the region since 2008.
