At least 71 people were killed after an overcrowded truck plunged into the river in southern Ethiopia on Sunday. The driver had lost control of the truck, which was carrying 76 people, including those heading to the wedding and day-labourers, when trying to turn a tight bend ahead of a bridge, reports claimed. Some of the survivors have been hospitalised.
