Lucknow has been designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The city was honoured for its over 100-year-old Awadhi culinary tradition, spanning from nutrition for royal service and street food to a celebration of living with creativity and conviviality, HT reported. The dossier for the designation advocated for food as vehicle for dialogue and inclusion, informing people about traditions.
