Government on Monday confirmed that some flights around several airports, including in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, faced GPS spoofing issue last month. Spoofing is an attempt to interfere with actual GPS signals using radio transmitters, to feed the aircraft false but believable navigation data. If successful, spoofing can mislead aircraft and create errors in route or altitude.
