Eknath Shinde has staked claim to Maharashtra CM post after his Mahayuti alliance won the polls with a wide margin, India Today reported. The 'Ladki Bahin Yojana', which is being cited as the main reason for popular female support to Mahayuti, is reportedly the 'brainchild' of Eknath Shinde. The scheme promised ₹1,500/month to women from families with <₹2.5 lakh income.
