Researchers have used stem cells from adipose tissue from body fat to treat spinal fractures in rats. These cells were developed into bone-differentiated spheroids and combined with β-tricalcium phosphate, a material widely used for bone reconstruction. Transplanted into damaged vertebrae, they promoted bone regeneration, strengthened bones, and activated genes controlling bone formation.
