Kotak Mahindra Bank founder Uday Kotak said that the "days of lazy banking are over" and the traditional regulatory moat protecting banks has disappeared. "If I were to start afresh today, I would be a digital evangelist," he added. He further stated that India must "fight smartly" the global competition and boost investment in research and development.
