At least 36 people were shot dead after Israeli troops opened fire on crowds of Palestinians seeking food from aid distribution sites in southern Gaza, said Gaza Health Ministry. Israeli military said firing involved only "warning shots" after a group allegedly approached soldiers despite being warned to stay away. The site was run by US and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
