US President-elect Donald Trump has chosen TV host and surgeon Dr Mehmet Oz to serve as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Trump had endorsed Dr Oz when the latter ran for US Senate in 2022. If confirmed by Senate, Oz would oversee Medicare, Medicaid, children’s health insurance and the Affordable Care Act, better known as 'Obamacare'.
