US-based employers laid off over 1.5 lakh employees in October, marking the largest monthly reduction in over 20 years, according to a new report. From January to October end, employers announced around 11 lakh job cuts, a 65% rise from 6.6 lakh in the same period last year. This comes as industries adopt AI-driven changes and intensify cost cuts.
