Thousands of New Zealanders marched to the parliament on Tuesday in one of the country's largest ever protests to oppose a bill on diluting rights of the Māori community. Some people were dressed in feathered headgear, cloaks and carried Māori weapons. The bill reinterprets 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, which decided how British Crown and Māori chiefs would govern New Zealand.
