Congress' Jairam Ramesh said PM Narendra Modi is indulging in "vote revdi" (vote doles) along with "vote chori" after he launched a scheme to provide ₹10,000 to 75 lakh Bihar women. He called PM's announcement a desperate step. Ramesh said the PM criticised Congress-led Karnataka government when they provided ₹2,000 per month to 1.3 crore women under Griha Lakshmi scheme.
