West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee extended her greetings on Hindi Day and also announced two-day government holiday on the occasion of Chhath Puja. She said that her government has taken several important steps for the development of Hindi-speaking people in the state, including establishing Hindi Academy, Hindi University, colleges and Hindi courses. "We hold reverence for all languages," she added.
