Actor Lakshmi Manchu has filed a complaint against a journalist for allegedly body-shaming her during an interview. In her complaint with the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC), Lakshmi said, "India is a country that reveres women as Shakti, yet...we're subjected to casual misogyny, humiliation, and disrespect...this can't continue." She also demanded a public apology from the journalist.
