At least one person dies every three minutes in road accidents in India, while one suicide takes place every four minutes and a murder every 17 minutes, the data from 2014 to 2023 has revealed. During this period, India lost an average of 420 people every day to road accidents, higher than the suicide toll (400) and murder victims (84).
