Mumbai has emerged as the happiest city in Asia in 2025, as per a Time Out survey, with 94% of locals saying the city brings them joy. China's Beijing ranked second, followed by China's Shanghai, Chiang Mai in Thailand, Hanoi in Vietnam, Jakarta in Indonesia and Hong Kong. Thailand's Bangkok, Singapore and South Korea's Seoul are also on the list.
