Reacting to controversy over his "pregnancy is excuse" remark against a woman officer, Karnataka Congress MLA Shivaganga Basavaraj said he won't take his words back. "I asked her to go on leave if she can't come on duty," he stated. Shivaganga made the remarks after finding Range Forest Officer Shweta absent during a meeting reportedly due to her pregnancy.
