Google has been ordered to pay more than $314.6 million to Android smartphone users in California for misusing customers' cell phone data. A Google spokesperson said the verdict "misunderstands services that are critical to security, performance and reliability of Android devices". Google told the court that users consented to using data in the company's terms of service and privacy policies.
